5* WD TV

An excellent piece of equipment. Simple to set up and use. I was recommended to to WD TV and it is the best money i have spent. The only shortfall is that it does not connect wirelessly to the internet so it requires another cable to add to the many most people have in use.
5* Does what it says on the tin

I've owned this for a few months now and am finding it a pleasure. The main reason for buying is wanting to stream movies from my NAS via ethernet. I used to do this via an Xbox 360 but got fed up of the fan noise. The WD unit is completely silent! It also streams off any connected USB drive. It's very simple to use and really quite foolproof. There are a couple of minor gripes with thumbnailing movies covers but I'm sure they will be fixed. I would recommend this product if you want a hassle free way to watch streamed movie or audio content. In fact I just have today.
3* Not for Home Theatre
Reviewed by Anonymous on 23/02/2010
I bought it to drive my projector via HDMI and audio via composite (RCA).

The audio didn't work, and WD confirms that the device won't mix HDMI video with composite audio.

So this device is only for use with TVs, not for home theatre and now I have to buy a Popcorn Hour.

Sigh.
