The pros: - price (btw, I paid GBP 105, now GBP 110, so "price drop" is just marketing con - it's not too bulky The cons - noisy operation, definitely much noisier than Western Digital - noisy when copying files. VERY noisy. Not a problem, but might be a nuisance - practically impossible to fire a question to toshiba support ref. noise - no off button (not a major problem, but still) - power cable quite short - USB 3.0 cable even shorter and more wobbly than WD Despite numerous cons, they are just minor annoyances, which reflect lower price than WD. As to how long it will last, we'll see (I bought two, one as backup, the other as backup's backup).
