These experiences and opinions are those of a computer literate, NAS novice.

Easy to setup the hardware but not so the software although those with experience of similar devices will probably find it straightforward. The whole software setup process, online instructions and customer services feels geared to corporate users which novices like me may find inadequate.

The hardware may be suitable for home users/novices but everything else is not. There are also unclear and conflicting on-screen messages, slightly buggy software and inadequate notifications throughout the entire setup and firmware updating process.

Once setup is complete (and excluding firmware updates), things are generally OK. Plenty of supplied software that looks the business. Too soon to comment on how well it works. Poor wording makes some setting changes unnecessarily awkward whilst other changes are easy to comprehend. This is not a fast NAS but then it's one of the cheapest 2-bay models from a reputable brand.
