5* Good little unit
Reviewed by S Holdcroft on 05/11/2014
easy to set up. always available. back up takes a little figuring out but all in all does exactly what I wanted
4* Not the easiest to set up and still issues
Reviewed by HarryW on 06/10/2014
Over complex in its logical design with 3 or 4 ID as passwords required. It insists that all emails to invite users be sent from an email that you associate with the NAS and won't let you delete and resend if they don't send first time. At the time of writing, Netgear have a major problem with synchronisation of users on the local device with their Cloud and therefore everyone that gets invited to join gets an error when trying to access remotely. This is currently with Netgear 3rd line support. On the plus side, Netgear Support have been great (unlike some other manufacturers).
4* Still no Nokia/Microsoft windows phone app for access
Reviewed by Mal Long on 31/03/2015
I keep checking but NetGear have no windows phone app, only Android & Apple. So, if important that you can access the NAS from your Windows phone, this NAS is not for you.
3* Frustrated
Reviewed by Samantha on 10/08/2014
Why make something so easy, so complex? I have a Silverstore 2 bay nas that needed 2 accounts and it was ready to go in minutes. This needs 4 or 5 accounts for different parts of it, and it still won't send emails from website to the people you invite, can you delete them? NO, can you send them from your own pc? NO, Can you send the email from your readynas? NO, it tells you to send them from you are stuck with accounts it won't send invites to, or allow you to delete them. Overall product rating for a bonus point because my 4 cats have had hours of fun with the empty box, while mummy has had 3 days of frustration and hair pulling and wishing she never set eyes on this piece of junk
3* Blue light
Reviewed by Anonymous on 31/12/2014
If you are an expert in NAS then this may suit you. If you want simple home storage then perhaps something less will be better. My blue light on the front looks nice but it still won't respond correctly and store what I need, access is always difficult. Support, well thats like the drive, difficult. The disks are going in the computer at least they can be used in there. Will bring it out again next Christmas- just for the light though.
