5* Love it!

All I can say is I love this CPU.

Installed this in a Gigabyte GA Z68AP-D3 and is currently over clocked to a comfortable 4.1 GHz.

The stock fan is great. Having left the computer on for 3 straight days with regular usage, the temp have never gone above 30 degrees!

If you are contemplating another CPU, don't bother; this is the best value for sure.
5* Gave life back to my graphics

Having upgraded from an old msi K9a platinum & x2 6400+. This has gave my hd 4870 a new lease on life. very pleased. Although having self built PC's for many years, it was the first time i was a little concern with the metal grinding sound when locking in the cpu but apparently this is normal! phew runs like a dream. Well chuffed. Rage runs smooth as now :)
5* Outstanding

this chip is outstanding, temp barely rises even under load no lag runs games smoothely, upgraded to this chip from a core 2 duo 2.6 and theres a massive difference, even start-up speed is emence.

Buy this chip now!
Amazing speeds for the price. If you can't afford the i7. I'd recommend this.

Haven't clocked it, but I know you can do it with ease!
5* Excellent product!

Bought this product to install in the new PC I was building, and combined with a GTx 560ti and a fantastic motherboard (all bought from BT) I can usually run every game at max settings. I will have to buy a new fan from BT as i would like to overclock this. The stock fan is fine and keeps this CPU running nice and cool but for overclocking im gonna need a bit more cooling power. I cannot recommend this product highly enough!
5* Excellent

Excellent chip and fantastic value for money.

I am not interested in video gaming, but do need lots of computational power. So I used the integrated grpahics on this chip to save the cost of a video card, and put it in a P8Z68-V PRO motherboard and it ran like a dream.

Once I had run it for a while, I added a Zalman ultra quiet cooler, and overclocked it 4.6 GHz with no trouble (my 1st overlcock, and I did not even have to fiddle around with voltages etc).

The chip runs fine at 100% loading of all 4 cores for sustained periods at 70 C with low cooler fan speed or about 60 C with high fan speeds.

Stunning chip! I can’t really justify buying it since I just play WoW and AoE but I had a student loan to blow so here we are.
The standard 3.3ghz clock speed is perfect for what I want, all graphics on ultra with 0 lag and very high fps at all times on WoW as opposed to my 2.3ghz quad phenom which had poor fps with the same GPU, the main advantage of the K version is you can overclock to a stable 4.5ghz which is completely OTT for my use but power users will probably want this power behind them.
Best bang for buck chip out there and will be for a long time imo, get it now you won’t regret it!
4* Good CPU for gaming but if you multi task there are better option

I built a cluster for an small software house and all I can say is that if you run many applications at the same time this is not the best value. But if you primarly run a single application and that is for gaming then this is probably the best value. I built 4 systems, 2 I5 one I7 and one FX-8150 all with the same graphics (ATI HD 7870). Total price for identical systems came out to about £800 for I5, £1000 for I7 and £700 for FX-8150 due to low cost motherboard andcashback each. In games the I5 works better but for professional workstations where user might have hundrerds of applications active (background rendering, video processing or Meta Trader 4) the FX-8150 (£150 - £20) was actually faster than the I5 and overclocked well with a £20 heatsink. Even in games the difference is marginal when the FX is running at 4.7Ghz which it readily does.
