As reviewed elsewhere, the build quality appears to be high and I agree. But oh my goodness the HP bloatware is bewildering. I read a review that when this bloatware is uninstalled then this machine performs well. Easier said than done. What's needed and what's not needed? I made the mistake of allowing 'Drive Encryption for HP Protect Tools' run, a big mistake. For personal use it's just not needed and it takes ages to get the machine booted up, worse than my 7 year old HP Laptop running XP. I've restored the machine to Factory condition to start all over again, this time ignoring the security sofware installation. So far so good.
