5* Great Little Gadget

I have just bought this little wireless adapter and plugged it into my desktop computer which does not have a wireless card as it is somewhat older than my laptop, but still useful, adding this little dongle was a great idea and I have to say it does a great job and it was so cheap, I ran the disc again because the first time it was not good but then it started working and just like they say in the discription it is a powerful little gadget
5* low standard

I bought the item above and was disapointed with its performance. The output a mere 65Mbps an increase of 11Mbps,hardly worth the bother and certainley not worth the cost
5* Disappointing

I was looking for something to improve the signal strength and speed in one room of the house where it is very low and often not at all. The description of this product seemed to be ideal. Once installed, I was left with no signal where I was hoping to improve and considerably reduced signal strength in other parts of the house where I normally have excellent strength. As a result I have returned to my original set-up and put this product away, in short a waste of time.
5* Edimax Wireless Adapter

I live in an old house with very thick walls, and consequently a low wireless signal in many rooms. Decided to try this as a cheap fix, and it really is good. Highly recommended!
4* Simple and effective communications

Good solid product. Note this is not a true N-draft device (max. 600Mbps) but has a maximum speed of 150Mbps! However, given the 802.11n specification has yet to be finalised (decision due December 2009), this is a good product to use on existing and migrating networks.

The device is very small (1/2 length) and comes with a USB cap which unfortunately cannot be clipped to it once its inserted, thus can be easily lost. This size makes it particularly useful for laptops/netbooks.

The device requires its installation CD to install drivers which work for both 32bit and 64bit editions of Windows Vista. It is compatible with Windows Zero Configuration - by far the easiest way of connecting to networks.

I gave it a 4/5 rating because of: it's speed limitations, the removable cap and lack of native Vista driver support.

Just writing to correct my previous rating (don't know where that came from) - Overall product rating 0 not the 5 listed. Don't be tempted to buy this product.
1* Useless

No problems installing it but the signal is too weak to connect
to internet even with the computer standing next to the router. A complete waste of time

Bought two of these for my children's xp computers. One refused to connect to the BT hub no matter what I tried (rebooting the hub, changing channel etc) the other connected fine but it ran at 6 mbps at best. Put the old Linksys wireless g adapters back on and both computers work consistently at 54 mbps.
