5* well... it works!

I am up stair and at the other side of the house with several walls in between the router and the WiFi card, it works really well. The cable antenna is a brilliant thing. Great value for money! also is small in pc I have it on an Asrock extreme 4 970 am3+ mobo inside a sharkoon t9 green (not from BT)
5* Great wireless card

I got this not becuas eof the price but because of features.

1) External aerial, Im sure the car5ds with antennae diversity work very well but I felt it was better to have one extended away from the chassis than 2 or 3 tighgt in amidst the cable and on the wrong side of the chassis to my route, and its proving me right.

2) Linux support, not tried it yet but allegdly this has linux support, I have a dual boot system (Windows 7 and OpenSuse) so this is kinda important.

On installation

Great, easy to install, simple support software package that gives far more detail than previous system.

Cheap yet brilliant product, good performance, features I wanted that the pricier onmes did not have.
5* Cheap and effective

This card is easy to install and performs great probably due to the external aerial. I am using it to connect to a computer over 30 feet away with 2 walls in-between and I still have a reasonably good signal. Would definitely recommend.
5* Edimax WiFi

Replaced a 'g' rated USB device with this and am delighted with the result - I pick up with ease and get no break offs - fantastic value for money- well done BT and Edimax

4* It's well made!

Defiantly a good wifi card - but DO NOT install the supplied utility as it is a pain to work with in that it kept "banning" my network saying they were using unsupported encryption (wpa2-psk?!?!?!)

Instead install only the drivers and let windows manage your connections.
2* Intermittent problems
Reviewed by Jodes on 18/01/2014
Mine seems to have a bad connection between the antenna and the card. Sometimes there is no signal at all, other times it is fairly good.

Given the above, and:
1. installing PCI cards is a pain
2. the antenna cable is really short
3. the antenna gain is only 2dbi

The only plus side was windows 8.1 picked it up automatically without having to install drivers.

I strongly suggest buying the following USB dongle instead: TP-LINK TL-WN722NC. It's cheaper, has a better antenna, longer cable, is easier to install, and is reliable. Excellent value for money.
