5* Why Pay More
Reviewed by oddjob on 22/08/2009
Does exactly what is says on the box. Easy to install (be sure to load the D-Link driver before plug and play gets involved.) Good value for money. Good performance. Picked up my router signal through two 18 inch walls!
5* Great Value

Absolutely brilliant piece of kit for the price .... it does exactly what it says on the box.
5* Compact, portable, easy to install and it works!

This is a breeze to install. It came bundled with a wireless ADSL modem/router/firewall (DSL-G604T) so I didn't actually pay the full price for it. The accompanying CD installed drivers on WinXP without trouble. It's currently working on a PC that's about 25ft away from the router, with two old walls between, and signal strength is strong to very strong in its present location. Recommended.
5* Works on a Mac!
Reviewed by Rory Hackett on 07/02/2006
This adaptor even works on macs - unlike loads of the competition. This card works perfectly on OSX 10.4 and is a must more cost effective way of getting wireless on an older mac than buying one of those internal airport cards that are about £75 on eBay! I really recommend these adaptors and i've found them to be really reliable so far!
5* Using 2

I have two of these running on 2 PC's in my attic, one gaming machine and one printer sever, data storage desktop. My 604T is on the grouns floor of the house which is a very old terrace, I have great connection and never had any problems with dropped connections at all.
Great piece of kit, I do especially like the USB stands to allow your antenna to be positioned as effectively as possible. Absolute doddle to set up.
5* Good range
Reviewed by James on 16/02/2007
Nice and cheap and has a very good range. Easy to install but easier to use if you just let windows do it for you.

The signal did tend to drop occasionally, but that could be due to many things.

The long USB cord allowed the device to be move around to get the best signal.
4* Easy Peasy
Reviewed by Anonymous on 15/09/2005
Easy to start up and use, connected first time. But I couldn't get the utility programme to run as it said it should in the manual; even after downloading and installing the updated software from DLink. However, it works and that's the main thing.
3* Not Good Range
Reviewed by Gary Pittaway on 10/01/2009
A nice little easy wireless fix but don't be fooled by the 100 metres to 400 metres distance claim. I placed this in a computer 25 metres from the house and the signal was terrible constantly dropping out and losing the network completely.
3* Easy but slow to connect
Reviewed by Anonymous on 27/05/2006
I had no problems with the software at all. Installed software first then added the device - easy.

Only problems I have found is that it seems slow to connect when starting up but this is certainly not the only wireless device to have this trouble. I never have any problems with it after it has made it's first connection...
2* I'd keep looking...

Pretty much the cheapest one around, but I guess you get what you pay for! I bought 4,for different computers and have had lots of trouble with them. The software on the CD doesn't appear to do anything apart from crash ocasionally. The card is much more stable if you ignore the instruction to install the software first, just plug it in and let windows find the driver on the CD for itself. When it works it is great, but sometimes won't connect at all. Also had to send one back which stopped working (and BT want to charge me 7.95 +VAT for the privilege!?!?!
