*Designed to deliver the clean, stable power your system deserves *

When you build or upgrade your own system, you want a power supply that meets both your power requirements and your exacting standards for performance and noise. The entire Enthusiast Series TX V2 family has been designed to do just that. With any TX V2 PSU, you'll find the right balance between price and the features you want: high efficiency, tight voltage regulation, low ripple and noise, and thermally-controlled fan speed.

Unlike many "value-oriented" power supplies, the entire range of TX V2 power supplies are designed to continuously deliver their rated power, all the way to 50°C ambient temperature. And with the tight voltage regulation and low ripple and noise that Corsair's Enthusiast Series in known for, you'll get clean power too. No more random crashes caused by dirty or insufficient power!

All TX V2 power supplies deliver up to 85% efficiency, feature a single +12V rail for simple installation, and are compatible with the latest Intel and AMD platforms, as well as NVIDIA® and AMD multi-GPU configurations. They are even ErP ready, so your system can use as little as 1W of power in standby mode (when used with an ErP-compliant motherboard).

5* Powerful and stable
Reviewed by Anthony C on 02/10/2012
After experiencing numerous difficulties where my new i7/X79 system was blue-screening, restarting and generally being unstable, I eventually identified that my existing PSU, which was very powerful, was simply not stable enough. The voltages were fluctuating all over the place and the wattage per rail was poor. The simple solution was this v2 TX850 PSU from Corsair. I now run two nVidia GTX graphics cards, an X79 motherboard, an i7-3930k with 32GB RAM and 5 HDDs (4+1SSD). Not once have I ever had a problem since I switched to this excellent PSU. The only thing I'd have liked to have seen was modular cables, but at this price that would be expecting a little too much
1* Annoying click
Reviewed by Ben on 09/03/2013
For a supposedly "silent" PSU, I found the constant clicking caused by the PSU fan to be very annoying. It sounds like a particularly noisy HDD click. Given that I'd removed all non-solid state drives from my system, this was particularly galling. Reading around online, it appears to be a design fault. It's going back.
1* Avoid this PSU
Reviewed by Nick on 17/04/2013
Whilst this PSU works fine, it has a habit of developing a very annoying squeak/honking sound when it is under load. I have returned two of these for the same issue, and the first one stopped functioning entirely.
