Step Up To Solid-State Speed with Force Series 3

Based on the SandForce controller, Corsair Force Series solid-state drive offers stutter-free response, fast performance, cooler and quieter operations for your notebook, netbook, and desktop PC.There's fast, and then there's fast. Force Series 3 SSD has even quicker read and write times when it's installed in PCs that use the SATA 3 6 Gbps interface.

Step up to SATA 6Gb/s performance with a Corsair Force Series 3 SSD. Your system responds better, boots quicker, and loads applications faster. Ideal for notebooks, Corsair SSDs run cooler and quieter than traditional hard drives, using less power.

One of the best PC performance investments you can make

You'll be amazed at the improvement over traditional hard drive access times the first time you turn on your computer, and for virtually everything you do with your PC. System startup, application load times, data transfers, and even shutdown times are all faster.

Your system will be more responsive, and you'll be more productive.

Add up all the time you spend all day waiting for your computer -- starting up, loading game levels, saving large files and documents -- and it can be significant. Using a PC can be a lot more enjoyable when it's not always making you wait.

The power of SATA 3 6Gb/second performance: Great for the latest high-performance PCs.

There's fast, and then there's fast. Force Series 3 SSDs have even quicker read and write times when they're installed in PCs that use the latest SATA 3 interface.

Compatible with SATA 2 3Gb/s.

5* Fantastic

Easiest way to sum it up is to say there is not a single chance I will go back to a mechanical drive.

This SSD is brilliant. Fantastic fast and fairly well priced for an SSD. You are paying a premium for them but it's worth it.

Absolutely love it
5* Does the job nicely!

Showing as a whopping 7.8 in the windows 7 scoring.

Using the a Gigabyte Z68 motherboard along with 15 2500k PSU, I had this bad boy boot within 5 seconds!! (with gigabyte book option activated).

One thing I would mention to those who install this into a windows 7 PC:

When installing W7 ultimate 64gig, the SSD showed as having only 73 GB out of 110 available!

Get rid of the virtual memory/profile page options within the system settings and this saved me over 30 GB of storage space!

Well recommended!
5* Worth the price tag

Lightning quick! Capacity is enough for 64bit Win 7, all my programs and games with space to spare.

Included 2.5" to 3.5" mounting bracket is a welcome addition.

It's a shame SSD drives are still expensive but the still represent the best value performance boost by a substantial margin!
5* The single best upgrade you will make, short of replacing your entire system.

Do not under estimate the difference the move from HDD to SSD will make to the performance of your machine.

This drive replaces a Kingston 60Gb SSD I had been using for some time, and the difference in performance is more than I expected.

The Corsair drive registers 7.9 in the Windows performance index. But please note, you will probably only get the maximum score if your motherboard supports SATA3.

If your machine is running DDR2 RAM, any other hardware upgrade would proboably require you to replace the motherbard, RAM and CPU. Buy this SSD and get the best possible performance boost at the lowest possible price.

I cannot reccomend this drive highly enough.
5* Fast or what!

Win 7 64bit loaded in <10secs. - and not noise, eery. Excellent SSD rated 7.9 out of 7.9 on win score. Just wish they were less expensive. No problems in fitting, loading, operation - mechanical HDD ok for simple storage but SSD for speed and performance - and use less power!
4* Fast, reasonable value, well built
Reviewed by IT Rich on 10/04/2012
These are well built SSD drives that simply blow mechanical drives away. The drive is well constructed and with a 3 year warranty should dispell any concerns over the lifetime of SSD media.

I've now got two of these (120GB x 2) running Windows 7 (64bit) in RAID 0 configuration. Very fast, and so far very reliable.

Only reason for not giving 5* all round are the following:
1. I have an old Antec case that mounts drives from the base screws. The adapter supplied with the Corsair drive only helps if the drives are secured with the side-screws. Still, not a major issue - just use a couple of large cable ties to secure it in place.
2. Value for money can never be as good as a mechanical drive if you're looking for large volume storage. Compared with the Crucial M4 these were top value, but recent price cuts have made the Crucial M4 comparable. That said, the specs of the Corsair drive are superior on paper.
3* Was great until...

The drive was great for boot up speeds and really boosted the performance of my PC as SSD's are advertised to do. So it's a great shame the drive has suddenly died on me after 10 months. I'm trying all avenues possibly to try and fix the issue. So far it appears the drive is dead in the water (all data lost) so i'm going through Corsair to try and resolve the issue. Great product but shame about the life span. To be concluded...
3* Great drive IF it works
Reviewed by SpyderTracks on 12/09/2011
Installed in my X58 intel rig. Credit due, this is a rediculously fast drive! On rev 2 firmware produced benchmarks exceeding advertised!

Unfortunately I experienced the BSOD and drive failed in BIOS so have returned under warranty. Updating firmware resulted in performance loss and failed to correct BSOD's.

It's a real shame, but until sand force find a fix for the 22xx series controller, it really is hit and miss as to weather or not it will work with your system. And if you experience problems with one SF drive, it's likely all SF drives will have same issues.

Am opting for the Marvell controlled Crucial M4.
