3* K70 RGB Rundown
Reviewed by Alex Cobb on 15/01/2016
If you are looking for good pre-installed effects and good build quality then look no further this is the keyboard for you. If on the other hand you are looking for true personalization with smooth user designed effects then proceed with caution.

The basic 512bit colour mode works without any problems all your macros and lighting effect will behave as expected. The problem is that the limited capacity of 512bit encoding means that most of your user configured animations will appear stuttery as the LED's jump from one data point to the next.

To resolve the issues with the effects you may think of switching to 16.8million colour mode. Whilst the stock effects appear to run smoothly under this setting most are fast paced and do not keep the keyboard lit in a fixed colour for long. For any user designed effects there is a residual flicker on the keyboard that pollutes the animations as well as the static colours. Also many of the macros I tested broke with 16.8 turned on.
