Product overview

Standard Due date unavailable

The Carbide Series 330R Quiet PC Case is designed for systems that will go into media rooms, bedrooms, dorm rooms, or any place where both silence and performance are essential. Sound dampened doors and panels and clever intake fan design are combined with generous expansion room and builder-friendly features to allow you to build a silent PC that can pack a lot of power for gaming and high-definition media streaming.

  • Extensive noise damping material on front door, side panels, and top removable panel to quiet noisy internal components.
  • Front door is reversible, with angled air intakes to reflect internal noise away from the user.
  • Direct airflow to components - the front 140mm fan is unrestricted by hard drive cages and has a low-restriction dust filter in front for excellent cooling and low noise levels.
  • Removable top panel, with top fan mounts pre-drilled for 240mm or 280mm radiator compatibility.
  • Up to five separate fan mount locations
  • Front: 140mm included (upgradeable to dual 120mm or 140mm)

5* Excellent case, but could still be better
Reviewed by Colin Farquhar on 12/02/2014
I've been building a new system bit by bit when I've had the money to do so, and this case was the final part to be purchased. My PC sits in the living room, so noise is something I must be aware of when picking components. I had been re-using my old case, but it was too cramped and the fans were having to work even harder to keep everything cool, meaning more noise.

The 330R certainly does the job as a "quiet" case. The soundproofing is good quality material and well fitted. I have three fans attached to the case (two stock plus one attached to a CPU cooler) and there was noticably less noise than before. It's not completely silent, but it's quiet enough for someone to comfortably watch TV in the same room without distraction.

Internally the case is very well designed. The drive trays come out easily and there is lots of space for cables. My only criticism is the length of the audio cable - it's a little on the short side for an ATX board. Possibly a little on the pricey side too.
