3* BT Inspire - quad cordless phone

I have been trying to contact BT to report a fault on a friend's phone but BT don't seem to recognise when I press 1, 2 or whatever and the voice continues to ask me to press something. The ringer tones leave something to be desired but having said all that, it is good to have the 4 phones - at least there is a chance I will be able to find one charged up handset when the phone rings

I bought this as a replacement for my BT Quad phones as they were slowly giving up after several years. I was very disappointed to find that this model has no SIM socket and all entries have to be done one at a time although only on one unit then it will copy to the other handsets. The reason why I wanted the Sim socket was not only would it have saved a lot of time but it also backs up my mobile phone, come on BT put back the good features dont delete them
3* BT Inspire 1500

I bought the quad set with answer machine to replace my previous BT Synergy 4500. The Inspire is a competent unit which operates effectively as a phone and answer machine. It was chosen over the top of the range Panasonic (which didn't have a message counter on the base unit). However, there are two key gripes about the Inspire:- 1) The previous phone had a SIM slot which allowed transfer of numbers and names. None of the BT phones have this now which means that every name and number has to be input the hard way. And, 20 years after predictive text on mobiles, this is still not available so every letter has to be entered the hard way!A numbing waste of time. 2) The handsets only have one ring tone anything like a telephone and most of the others are just noises, not even tunes. The base unit doeas not have a single sensible ring tone. And there is still no way to download your own tone, even though the phones are equipped with full polyphonic ring tone facilities.
1* Awful Rnigtones

The ring tones on this machine are so annoying ~ all polyphonic. Prefer my synergy but it broke.
