5* The best sound there is

It's very simple, this is the best sounding card you can buy. I have run the card on Vista and Windows 7 and it works faultlessly. It's jut plain superb and beats other cards to a pulp.
5* Excellent sound card

Easy to install, but you have to ensure that you have a spare internal power connect - the ones that go into the back of CD drive - otherwise it won't function.
Sound quality - either directly from the analogue output or indirectly through the digital spdif out to an external DAC - is top notch. The internal DAC of this card is excellent and equivalent to that produced by, for example, a Cambridge DacMagic plus.
As ever, ASIO driver's are a bit fidly - download the latest version from ASUS website (ignore the included CD Rom), run this after installing the card (making sure to connect the internal power!) and...in the tray icon that the software creates, right click...choose Asus Xonar ASIO and make sure the bit dpeth is set at 24. Mine was set at 16 bits and resulted, obviously, in poorer sound quality from my 24 bit recordings.
Other than this, a SUPERB card - better than messing about with USB DACs or USB to spdif convertors.
