4* Good product - shame about the instructions
Reviewed by Laurence on 04/05/2015
I bought this range extender because the signal from my router was weak two floors away in my house. Once it was working it does the job - it's a "set and forget" product. Once you've found a socket in the house to plug it into that gives the best result in the furthest corner you should not need to do anything else. Asus technical advice suggested this should be nearer to the router AP (access point) so the contact is never lost but far enough to extend the range.

The real difficulty is the poor "quick start guide". If your router has a WPS button, you may be able to connect them by pressing the WPS button on both router and extender. But the words which tell you what to expect to see are plainly wrong, and connecting the range extender by cable to my laptop confused me, though that's what the instructions say to do. In the end, I spent 38 minutes talking with an Asus support technician to get my setup connected.

Would still recommend this product.
