5* Product is great.

GPU is pretty much perfect. Doesn't come with a DVI cable, however. So make sure you have a spare one (or a HDMI) lying around.
4* Good performance for price, but with a visual downside.

Buying this card, I knew it wasn't the newest of cards - having been around a year or so now - reviews of performance put it far beyond my old card, and for the money I couldn't complain.

Yes, performance wise, it appeared pretty good for the money. More so after testing.

But after using it a few days, and reading more about various R9 based card issues, I am not quite so sure now.

R9 based cards appear to have various issues. Yes, some are being fixed through drivers or firmware updates, but some not.

It seems though that most R9 cards suffer from screen flickering and horizontal bar shimmering up and down the screen. Its faint, and more obvious on darker colours in games, but its there, and is distracting.

This appears to be down to using the Vga to Dvi connector (if your monitor only has Vga output).

So, I can only really recommend this card, if your monitor/screen, has a dvi or hdmi connector. Avoid this card if you have a screen with regular Vga connector.
