The 1080p series 5 takes the Samsung LCD Full HDTV experience one step further. It also has a clean design with touch-sensitive manual controls that eliminate the side buttons. Connectivity is a snap with three HDMI inputs, including one that is side mounted with an available USB 2.0 port.

DNle+, an upgraded technology of DNle (Digital Natural Image engine) which has been recognized as Samsung Electronics' leading picture technology, was also added to the product. Samsung Electronics' proprietary DNle+ improves noise, contrast, color and motion.

Wide Color Enhancer 2 technology boosts color detail and luminance by creating a wider range of colors and makes traditionally weak greens and blues deeper and more vivid and enhances the red colors.

To further enhance the viewing experience the series 5 also comes with movie plus feature that ensures greater clarity in motion pictures. In addition, the three entertainment modes (sports/movie/game) for optimal viewing and 2.2-channel sound with two woofers generate the best entertainment environment by providing vivid images and rich sound at the same time.
