Apart from a sleek new design, the BT Total Broadband Home Hub 2.0 is packed with extra features:

Wireless 'N' Technology

BT Home Hub 2.0 uses "802.11n", or "11n" wireless technology. This wireless 'N' technology is the latest available and gives you the best wireless range and connection. The previous versions of the BT Home Hub use "802.11g" or "11g" wireless technology.

'N' technology makes better use of wireless signals by reflecting them more around a room, improving your home's coverage and giving you a better connection. With Hub 2.0 you will get up to twice the wireless range compared to routers provided by any other Internet Service Provider. However, the range you'll get does vary, depending on the layout of your home.

Secure

To help stop unauthorised users accessing your wireless network, your BT Home Hub 2.0 uses WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) wireless security, which replaces the older WEP (Wired Equivalent Protocol) security.

Access Control

BT Access Control lets you set times when certain devices on the home network can't connect to the Internet.

This can be handy, for example, if you'd like to cut down on the amount of time your children are online. BT Access Control will block all incoming and outgoing Internet traffic to specific devices at the times you choose.

Power Saving

BT Power Save lets you choose a time period every day when the wireless signal on your BT Home Hub 2.0 is switched off to save power.

Super Router

After upgrade to superfast BT broadband, my neatgear router couldn't cope. BT supplied a Home Hub 2, which was refreshingly easy to set up, and had me back in business in no time. In addition, my daughter's laptop initially had difficulty getting internet access, but I just popped the BT Broadband CD into her machine and, hey presto, problem solved. Top marks to BT Broadband for excellent service.

Im so glad that we decided to come back to Good old BT. The Hub is absolutely brilliant and a nice looking bit of modern day furniture too. We found it simple to set up in all fairness, to what I've used in the past with other providers components. We have good connection with our 3 Laptops to it, all over our house and out in our garden! Im sorry that I never came back sooner to BT, a great service and a great bit of kit. Well done BT, keep it going. Im highly recommending it to all our friends & family that have Bband.

All round good service comes with the hub, only draw back is signal range/strength.
If you have a big house or a computer in a shed in the garden you may well find the signal is not strong enough to reach it. Bridges are available but drop off is a problem, particulalry when the web is busy, like when school gets out.
