Good phone for a modern house

Terrible answerphone and cordless phone. It appears cheap and texting is not easy. To give it credit it looks good ON PAPER but don't be fooled. On querying the ability to add extra cordless phones it appears that you can add them but the facilites are so limited. My intention was to find a suitable DECT phone that would be easier to use for SMS but there are none. This phone is made by SAGEM and apparently the menu systems that are used by different manufacturers are the defining points where compatability is concerned. Take my tip. Don't buy.
