Description

PRODUCT FEATURES:
- Directory lets you store up to 100 names and numbers for easy dialing;
- The BT button provides quick access to a range of useful services, including SMS text messages, Calls list and BT services such as Helpdesk and Directory Enquiries;
- Send and receive SMS text messages;
- Answering machine can be operated from the base, at a handset or by remote access from another phone;
- Expandable system. You can have up to 5 GAP compatible handsets registered to your BT Freestyle 350 base;
- Change the wallpaper and color of the screen;
- Digital call clarity with up to 300m range outdoors and up to 50m indoors.
- Built in Digital Answering Machine
- Up to 15 minutes recording time
- Caller Display* & Call Waiting* with 20 calls list
- Handsfree
*In order to see who is calling you, or to see your texts you will need to subscribe to the BT Caller Display Service which is available when you sign up to www.bt.com/btprivacy BT residential customers making some calls on the BT network can opt in to receive Caller Display at no extra charge, subject to availability. Analogue lines only. Numbers will not be registered if the call is from payphones, some switchboards, and non-BT networks or where a caller's number is withheld. If the phone you are texting isn't text-enabled, the text will be converted and sent as a voice message. Please note that the text function is NOT compatible with BT Broadband Talk.
This phone is GAP compatible and is available as either a single or a twin, so that you can have a phone in more than one room of the house without having to add anymore phone sockets! When sold together, e.g. a twin (contains 2 phones), they are already set-up to work from one telephone socket. If you purchase an additional (GAP compatible) handset, there is a short and simple process, outlined in the product user guide (included with your phone), to link your new handset to your existing telephone system.
Where described as VoIP compatible, this applies when used with the appropriate VoIP service such as BT's Broadband Talk service and hardware such as the BT Home Hub - it is not a standalone voip phone

This seems initially to be a good phone. Unfortunately if you have several handsets the directories are individual to the handset and not shared. It doesn't tell you this in the specification and it could be a real draw back if you have a lot of directory entries.

I HAVE THE THREE HANDSETS WHICH ARE OK FOR THE PRICE, BUT I WAS DISAPPOINTED THAT THERE IS NO TEXT FACILITY.

NIce but awkward

NIce looking phone but awkward to use the buttons, especially the 0 because the keypad is curved at th ebottom. The colour screen and menu icons are also very "Peter & Jane". I returned it for a refund. Clunky.
