As a hearing aid user I find the amplification totaly inadequate (an old earlier similar version much better) and the 't' function barely loud enough. I am looking for a replacement. BT's lack of useful specs does not help.

Good but could be better

Excellent phone for using with a Headset. However a couple of problems with teh phone, if you use Handsfree at all you have to put up with a hum on the line, unless you unplug the mains and line briefly, which resets it, but by doing so the clock resets and is always 4 years out. I had the phone changed but replacement was the same so must be a common issue. Also teh amplify does not appear to work at all unless on on handsfree (which I cannot use due to hum!). Sometimes teh phone locks up and you cannot clear down without removing power and line.
For all those complaining about the flashing 'New', all you do to clear is press 'Calls' and then scroll up/down through the calls and then 'Calls' again and it should clear.

smart phone with drawbacks

As another customer found,NEW keeps flashing on the screen even when there is no message. The user manual does not explain how to get rid of it. Can any other user help?
There are 3 ring tones but we couldn't find a way of listening to each of them before selecting one.
We'de downloaded the full manual but neither of these queries was explained.
Other features seem adequate and it looks quite smart.

The HANDS FREE function is BRILLIANT - EXCELLENT & VERY EASY to USE. However there ARE one or two OTHER functions that AREN'T so easy to figure out - for EXAMPLE - when the word 'NEW' is FLASHING (due to a MISSED CALL etc) - there's NO MENTION in the SET/STARTER GUIDE as to HOW to TACKLE the problem. ALSO - IF you store a NUMBER in the SPEED DIAL (KEYS 1-10 down the RIGHT HAND SIDE), you CANNOT REMOVE those number ONCE you have ENTERED them - you can ONLY EDIT/CHANGE them so PLEASE - BEAR this in mind when setting them up - as the SET UP/STARTER GUIDE does NOT MAKE THIS ABSOLUTELY CLEAR. ALSO - UNLIKE the OTHER CONVERSE telephones where there is a FULL 20+ PAGE USER GUIDE that COMES WITH THE TELEPHONE - YOU HAVE to DOWNLOAD the USER GUIDE to THIS product - so AGAIN BEAR THIS in mind if you are NOT COMPUTER LITERATE or you simply DON'T HAVE/ACCESS to a computer.

Very annoying that BT don't provide an answer to the Flashing NEW display that cannot be removed - the manual says nothing about it - and there are plenty of complaints
